Hammer @ Home Instructions

  

1. Brush on stain onto board using color sponge.
2. Dry completely – wait for 20 mins.
3. Turn stencil over, using a credit card rub firmly on the checkerboard back three times.
4. Peel checkerboard backing apart from blue stencil making sure no blue stencil pieces come off on white paper.
5. Apply stencil to the board. It is not repositionable so once it is pressed down be careful. Peel off top tape, making sure no blue pieces are pulled off.
6. Lightly dab paint over stencil using small white sponge applicators. Do not push too hard or the paint will feather underneath the stencil.
7. Let paint air dry (DON’T USE A HAIRDRYER), apply second coat of paint, air dry again.
8. Remove stencil by gently pulling the opposite direction of the wood grain.
9. Pluck out any tiny stencil pieces using a toothpick.
10. Distress by sanding with your sandpaper or leave alone.
11. Enjoy your creation!!!!
